Candidate means it when he says he cares

Joe Lazzerini is the best candidate for Ward 1 city council because he is a good man. He has the most generous impulses any person can have. He is smart and started a cancer fundraiser when he was 12 years old. He is outgoing and energetic and has had standouts at 9 in the morning in 40-degree weather and in the pouring rain.

Yes, he's courageous. He's signed up for the Army Reserve, broke his foot at the end of boot camp, and still greets people door to door! But Joe Lazzerini, just by nature, employs Abraham Lincoln's immortal words: "With malice towards none, with charity for all."

Every politician and bureaucrat-to-be is smart, outgoing and energetic, and courageous. (OK, maybe not that last part.) However, Joe is all that and more: a decent person. But when Joe says he cares about the people of South Attleboro and wants to help out in any way he can, he means it. He's been doing it since before he could shave. Joe loves people. Community service is in his soul.

Joey has malice towards none of his political rivals, even those who feel his age is a reason he should not be elected. Allow me to be tongue-in-cheek. The last time I checked, it's legal for an 18-year-old to be a city councilman. So don't worry, if you vote for Joe, you're not breaking the law. Joey has charity for all. Give him a call.

He wants to actually talk to the people of Ward 1. It shouldn't take longer than 3 minutes talking to him before you like him. On Tuesday, go for Joe!

Vote for candidate who knows struggles

Joe Lazzerini is a candidate for Ward 1 city councilor, he understands the hardships and the struggles the Ward 1 citizens are going through. He is willing to fight hard and give the city dwellers what they deserve. His passion and hard working personality comes from his drive to help others. On Nov. 3, I am urging a vote for Joe Lazzerini.

He'll be an excellent councilor for Ward 1

A vote for Joe Lazzerini is a vote for change. I don't believe age makes a difference in politics. My daughter, Carolyn Tedino, was a councilor at a very young age and she made an excellent councilor. It's what is in a person's heart and what the person believes that determines a good city councilor.

I believe if Joe is given a chance, he would be an excellent representative. He is energetic, enthusiastic and passionate. All of these things will result in Joe being an excellent and compassionate representative.

As they say, "age is a state of mind," and Joe is an extremely talented and intelligent individual. In fact, he is far more mature in years than his stated age. I am proud to say that I am voting for change. Give youth and enthusiasm a chance; please join me in extending my vote to Joe Lazzerini.

A refreshing choice for South Attleboro

In support of Joe Lazzerini, I'd like to say how excited I am that he is running for Ward 1 city council.

I am proud to live in South Attleboro. My husband and I have lived here for 20 years and are going to "Go For Joe". How refreshing and encouraging it is to have the opportunity to elect a person with such positive energy with realistic goals and who promises to be accessible and give his undivided attention to his ward. A native of our community, his passion gives us hope for a great future for South Attleboro which has become a great place to live, as found by his opponent, Cheri Felos.

Joe's contagious energy and optimistism has motivated me to get more involved in learning about the current issues impacting our community. I am impressed with his poise and character. His communication skills are ageless. I have lived in other communities, including the City of San Francisco, where exceptional individuals such as Joe Lazzerini are given an oppportunity to make a difference, which has resulted in a city that is incredible. I hope the existing political body here in our backyard will be able to be open-minded and progressive and embrace Joe's ideas.

He's logical choice for Ward 1 councilor

I support Joe Lazzerini for Attleboro City Council for Ward 1 because he is an intelligent and motivated young man who puts the community first. He listens and is concerned about bringing change to the City of Attleboro.

I am confident that he will bring the change that we need if he is elected to the city council on Nov. 3. His drive and motivation in addition to his knowledge of the issues that Attleboro citizens in Ward 1 are mostly concerned about make Joe Lazzerini the logical and smart choice for city council.
