You've stood by this campaign through thick and thin, and I wanted to take a few moments to thank you for all your support and encouragement throughout this campaign.
We may not have prevailed in the vote count, but we stood up for our common commitment to making Ward 1 the kind of place where everyone can have a voice in City Government. In the end we lost by 142 votes, and captured over 41.88 % of the vote. As the youngest candidate on the slate this year I am proud of everything we accomplished.
For that, I am truly grateful to each and every one of you. Those who voted and those who donated you have truly made a difference.
Whatever our political differences, I believe that Cherie Felos is going to work hard for the people of Ward 1, and I wish the Councilor-elect, patience, and good fortune as she leads our Ward in the right direction.
Nineteen months ago I decided to run for City Council in Ward 1 because I truly believe that government can be a force for good, and I am proud that we focused on the issues that matter most to working families like the tax classification factor, economic development, public safety and a strong voice on the City Council.
Thank you for the privilege of being on the ballot and having your support, it has been the high honor of my 18 years. I am not walking away from Attleboro and I am surely going to be out their campaigning for a seat on the council in 2011.
